Privacy Policy
The short version. There is no sign-in, and your spreadsheets are stored only on your device. When you use an AI prompt, the prompt, the contents of the spreadsheet and any photos you attach are sent to our server and on to an AI provider to produce the result, and are not stored by us. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Ly Minh Mai Company Limited (“we”, “us”) controls your personal data when you use the AI Sheet app. Contact: hello@lyminhmai.com.
2. What we collect
- Anonymous account: AI Sheet has no sign-in. The app creates a random secret for this installation and keeps it in your device’s Keychain; we store only a one-way hash of it, plus when you accepted these terms and, if you tap Rate us, when you did. We do not ask for your name, email or Apple ID.
- AI prompts: what you ask the AI to do, the contents of the spreadsheet it works on (cell values and formulas), and any photos you attach (for example a photographed receipt or table). These pass through our server to the AI provider and back to your device. We do not store them; we keep only a count of prompts per day to apply your plan’s limit.
- AI Sheet Plus: if you subscribe, your plan status and expiry date. Apple handles payment; we never see card details.
- Technical data: IP address and time in access logs for security, and usage (number of prompts, tokens) to cap costs.
Stored only on your device: your spreadsheets, their names and the files you import. We have no copy of them. The app reads only the photos you choose or take, and only when you attach them to a prompt. We do not collect contacts, location, your photo library or advertising IDs, and the app contains no third-party advertising or tracking tools.
3. How we use your data
- To create and edit spreadsheets when you ask, and to apply the daily prompt limit of your plan.
- To run, secure, prevent abuse of, cap the cost of and fix the service.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use your spreadsheets or prompts to train AI models.
4. Service providers
- Google (Gemini API), United States: receives your prompt, the spreadsheet’s contents and any attached photos to produce the result. We use the paid service, under which Google does not use this data to train its models.
- Anthropic, United States: a backup AI provider, used only if we switch over from Google, with the same scope of data.
- RevenueCat, United States: manages AI Sheet Plus subscriptions; receives your account ID (no name or email) and your App Store purchase history.
- Fly.io: servers and database, located in Singapore. Cloudflare: network delivery and attack protection.
- Apple: the App Store for subscriptions, and iCloud if you choose to open or save files there.
These providers may process data only to provide the service. We may disclose data where lawfully required by a competent authority.
5. International transfers
Account data is stored in Singapore; prompts and spreadsheet contents are sent to the United States for AI processing. We protect data with encryption in transit and at rest and with our providers’ contractual commitments.
6. Retention and deletion
- Prompts, spreadsheet contents and photos are not kept after the AI returns its result.
- Deleting your data (Settings → Delete my data) immediately removes your anonymous account from our live systems and deletes your record at RevenueCat. So that deleting does not reset the free allowance, the number of prompts used today and when you tapped Rate us are kept, under the one-way hash of this installation's secret, until the end of the day (UTC). It does not cancel an AI Sheet Plus subscription: cancel that in your App Store account settings (you can restore it later with Restore purchases). Spreadsheets on your device stay there until you delete them or the app.
- Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis; deleted data is gone from every backup within 30 days. Security logs may be kept longer where needed for security or required by law.
7. Security
Connections use HTTPS; installation secrets are stored only as hashes; data access is logged. No system is perfectly secure; if an incident affects your data, we will notify you as the law requires.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent and receive a copy of your data. You can delete your data in the app; for anything else, email us and we will respond within the time the law requires. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
9. Children
AI Sheet is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If we learn we have, we will delete the account.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. For material changes we will tell you in the app before they take effect.
